Highly doubted that this match was fixed, b'cos this was not that much crucial match. ya...you can think about the match fixing if this match was quarter final, or semi final or final or if this match was important to qualify for the next match than yes we can think about match fixing..
IMO, this was really good match on last one hour atleast......
All are guesses in general. Can you specifically point out why and how the match was fixed ? I would rather ask you to give the specifics with respect to the proceedings in the match. Also you can post here what you found in telecast to support your statement.
Otherwise readers will just ignore this thread as if it is another thread posted by negative minded.

come on man..it was close match..if it was fix then top order batsman would have hit sixes not the last man to come and play..

they are getting soo much money for playing now then why would they fix? its not easy now to fix..there are video cameras, security is there. There are people just looking for this kind of sting operations and players are aware of it now...

Fixing issue aside, Ireland did a great job last night. England captain Strauss's face expression said it all. O'Brien thrashed the English bowling. Hope India does better against Ireland. Its a must win situation for India.
This evening Canada restricted Pak below 200, but are struggling with the bat. Cant expect miracle from Canada as they are not exposed to ODIs that much.
O'Brien played very well to enable ireland to win against england.
I dunno why people not talking about this match fixed and bla...bla. A weaker team beaten a strong team !. So according to theory the match should have been fixed !
People fail to understand One day match is all about skills of a team on a particular day. Any thing can happen to any team on a day. We know what happened in previous world cups. The minnows beat strong teams on a given day.

while not commenting whether the match was fixed or not, I would say I find quite a few flaws (not really, but I can't get the right work) in your post.
1. Do you watch a match only to know the result or to enjoy the match? Many people see replays and highlights only to enjoy the game even though they already know the results.
2. Fix does not mean that only the top order has to do it. On a regular betting arena, the odds keep changing all the time - you can bet while the match is being played. If a match is fixed, the bets will go up if there is a see-saw - if it is not a such, then new bets will not come in, and the ones who have fixed the match will not gain any extra monies, which can at times be higher than bets placed before the start of the match.
3. Money is not the only criteria for players to play according to the fix. Now a days, a threat of life or other threats is a bigger force than money.
But whatever said and done, as a spectator, for the first time in my life, towards the last 5 overs of the game, I had a feeling that the match was fixed - in favour of India, and then suddenly in the last over, I thought it was in favour of England - but definitely I felt it was fixed.
and I guess a tie with such a see-saw would give higher returns to bookies than a result in favour of one team. It is like very little money is placed on 0 and 00 in roulette compared to other bets. A casino wins highest if the ball falls on 0 or 00.
