Please noe that farmers can qualify on their own now. Good news for many Indians & Pakistanis

Thanks for this information.

I have been hearing that Farmers can come to Canada, but never figured out what is that.

I have following questions/confusions:

Who is farmer? A owner of land in India?
What should be educational qualifications?
What he is going to get upon coming here? Does he have to bring money with him so that he can buy a farm? Can government give him free or loan land to do farming?

What is time frame for this?

My family back-ground is farming and your answers would be of great help.

- FOR IMMIGRATION PURPOSES, A FARMER IS SOMEONE WHO HAS MANAGED [NOT NECESSARILY OWNED] A FARM FOR AT LEAST TWO YEARS IN THE PAST FIVE YEARS

What should be educational qualifications?
- NONE

What he is going to get upon coming here?
- PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS

Does he have to bring money with him so that he can buy a farm?
- YES

Can government give him free or loan land to do farming?
- NO

What is time frame for this?
- APPROX 18-20 MONTHS

Someone advertising this over the TV and in the desi newspapers for quite some time now. As I understand, the farmer needs to bring a huge sum of money(cdn$400,000????)........This category does not seem to be attracting people.

$400,000 seems to be exorbitant ... Our advice is different! We have many farmer clients.

English is required to qualify?

Can you also give approximate amount?

English is not required. However, knowledge of it is always a good factor.

Approximate amount is $40,000-$50,000
