Hi
I will get citizenship card next week than I am planning to move to usa, so can I apply passport from usa or not.

1) The Cdn passport is only issues/renewed from Canada . It does not matter where you are in North America. If you are in US , you apply to Canada only for your passport and if you are in Canada , then you go to your local passport office to apply or by mail.
The consulates in US do not issue or renew Cdn passports

Thanks guys..I already have a valid passport for travel which I will have to give up when i receive Cdn one. However I wasn't sure if Cdn. passport can be mailed to US address or will it create any issues?

mcg7 explained it really well.
You are not supposed to travel on Indian passport once you get cdn citizenship. Please apply and get your cdn passport before you travel anywhere after that...

Even if the authorities can mail the CND pp to the US, you need it to enter the US. How will that happen, i.e. how will you enter US if you don't have your CND pp. That was the question Hiren asked in post # 2.
So bottom line, apply for your CND pp, take delivery in Canada and then use that to travel to the US. If you're in a rush, pay the extra tatkal amount and get it in 2-3 days.
Details from Passport Canada website:
To obtain urgent or express pick-up service, you must apply in person at a Passport Canada office* and you may be required to provide proof of travel. Passport Canada will take appropriate action on a case-by-case basis.
Some examples of proof of travel are:
•An airline, bus or train ticket;
•A travel itinerary showing proof of payment;
•A written statement, if traveling by car (the validation of the statement is at the Passport Officer's discretion).
In addition to the regular passport fee, the following fees will apply.
