New survey from the Forbes Magazine and HSBC International Expats:
http://ca.travel.yahoo.com/guides/Other/995/the-worlds-friendliest-countries
Canada is rated as the world's friendliest country.
Make whatever you like of this
The presence of Australia in the top 5 makes me suspect.
Also missing are some of the smaller Carribean countries like the Bahamas, Cuba, etc.
And yes, I did consider posting this under the Have Fun category

You are right ... Australia should not be in at least in top 20. I do not believe in these surveys.
But, I am happy to see CANADA in the TOP of the list.
I bet this survey was posted by The Onion Canada? Friendly?

Hi,
Yes you are right, don't know how they measured that Australia is friendly country. We are living in Australia and at many occasions noticed open racism.
Telling you the one truth, I was talking with one lady, she came from Toronto, while talking to her, she said she is from Australia but living in Canada from many decades. She said plenty of good things about Canada, the biggest things she was mentioned that Australia is racist country.
So we can imagine how their own people think about racism.
Regarding the best place to live, they said Melbourne is one of best place to live, don't know how they measured that.
The biggest problem in Melbourne is worst public transport, we have a Metro train which always runs late, poor management, worst customer service.
Honestly this is the worst public transport in developed world I have ever seen.
So any thing good about Australia is not true.
Regards,
This justifies Harper's action of spending tax payer's $29 billion to order 65 fighter jets.
