Hello All

If anyone could recommend me a dentist who gives free consultation ..

I live in downtown toronto.

I have been to 2-3 dentist here they are all asking from 75-150$ just for consultation and cleaning/filling charge is on top of that and they haven't mentioned how much it will charge.

So i want to get free consultation and want to know how much would it take for cleaning and/or filling if required.

Any and all inputs would be appreciated. I am looking for dentist anywhere in GTA.

P.S - i don't have any family doctor too. Just had to go to doctor once and that was walk in.

I work as a contractor and don't have any insurance and as far as i know its not covered in OHIP.

Please explore the free classifieds (craigslist/Kijiji) and bulletin boards of numerous Dental colleges. There many new students who need patients for practice. This practice is supervised by a dentist instructor - a qualified dentist himself. They do it for free - only catch is that you have to attend at a time when they have practice schedule and a small procedure will take a longer time since they need to get evaluation from instructor at each stage.

I have got it done for my entire family couple of times and it is a good option for basic cleaning and review of general dental health.

I have already contacted few of them.. But problem is that i work regular hours 8-5 weekdays...and they are also working same time.

They dont work on weekends neither after 5 pm. And hence i posted here to see just even if i can cut out cost on initial consultation then basic cleaning would be okay ...

Please browse the charcha for 'dentist' ... I am +ve that this has been discussed before and people have recommended some places .
