Hi:
Any suggestions as to what might be a good small business account to open? Looking a the regular banks, I think the $6 RBC option and $9.50 BMO one (Waived with a $4K balance) are the best options. I see ING has a Business savings a/c, but assume, I cannot deposit checks into that. Any info?
Thanks!
H
ING is good as it pays 1.25% on small business saving a/c ..negative side is You have open a bank a/c in big 6 banks first & link your ING a/c with that a/c..money can be transferred electronically between them...but U get intrest at the end of each month...thats good return for a conservative saver..
Try SBIC Super Saver A/C.

Absolutely True, Business needs are a lot different than personal needs. And in business account, the home branch is the only one who can make major changes (for personal accounts it can be done from anywhere).
SBIC provides branch banking to me on business account . Does not charge any thing plus provides top of the line interest on balances ($500 last year ).
I was charged $50/- for a 50 page cheque book but if it is a small business 50 cheques last you long .
I do not need to visit my Branch on regular affairs ... All client deposits are cheque based which I mail to them and in case I need to issue cheques to CRA , I use the above cheques . I do not have pay roll .

Hi Fido:
Is that some special account? The one mentioned at SBI website is with a 2K min balance or $10 per month charge + $0.45 per transaction - which is another 5-8 $ a month. There is no interest specified either. Mailing charges of the deposits will be on top.
Thanks
