Agree with Fido,

Brampton Brar's Jalebi is so far the best jalebi I had in Canada, they have fresh jalebi from 4-7 everyday I guess.

Few years back I remember somebody telling me about a sweet shop in brampton run by paki family, for good jalebis.

Let me know if you regret .... Though almost doubly priced to regular jalebis , these are amongst the best jalebis I have eaten .. and don't get me wrong I have eaten at a lot of places including the 'Dareba Wali Jalebi' in Chandni Chowk...

But for the regular priced ones (<$3.5/lb) Samosa and Sweet Factory white jalebis are good as well...

I Tried Brar jalebi , they are good but not the best ..

Also, I wish they have good train staff - i went to buffet last month during lunch hours ( after busy time) - service is sucks

the place like Brar should have professional train employee , like Tandoor Flame in brampton , not amaze with food taste but service very good.

If i go to traditional restaurant for good taste then i don't care for service , such as BarBQ Tonite on dundas/mississuaga - i got their for Charagha and Karahi ghost - i like the taste but they are sucks in service

Folks , hopefully it's ok to buy in Canada ? coz' only geographical location changed not the people(without civic sense) who prepare food.

but definitely try to avoid eating such food in India

It is ok to eat as long as you know where to eat - either in India or Canada

Haldirams , Bikanerwala , Mc D , Ammas , Reddys are all standard places and maintain their hygiene..... Even local vendors in upscale market places (I can say for Delhi - CP , Karol Bagh,South Ex) are millionaires and nobody wants to loose business on account of simple precautions. Word travels fast in India.

But yes if you are referring to a middle or low class road side eating place , you are taking your chances and should know better.

Likewise in Canada also , there could be violations esp in Desi restaurants ... Heard of Nilgiris being closed after health inspection and I had personally seen flies on salad toppings @ Harveys , Bracebridge.

shop owner can't watch them 24/7 - locations may be changed but not bad habits - same people

Ghalib - I thought you were anti Muslim ...Yeh Ghalib pe inayat kaise ;)

Just for your interest and knowledge , this must have been at least 18 years back around 1996 when I learned that Ghantewala @ Chandni Chowk ( who sold Rs 4 crores of sweets @ Diwali from a single shop in 1996) did not have a physical human touch to the product !! Every body was wearing gloves when needed ...

I am sure awareness has come a long way since then .. and the urban Indians have become more conscious.
