I am looking for some business in SK, because in next summer my brother coming from India to settle in SK.
Once i will find some suitable business then i will go in details as you mentioned(gross sale and net income etc).
I am still in process - nothing finalized yet.
If you see the property cost, it looks more easy to find a business in SK, compairing to other provinces.

Do you think some of our friends who are not really doing good in Ontario .... will be okay if they end up buying a grocery store like business in SK. According to your research so far, do you think it is like buying a secured job in SK and getting ready for harsh weather conditions or a job with lot of insecurity and sacrifices ..... or real big opportunity to make money for a visionary.

for an Educated or not much educated Indian, Buying a grocery store or gas station in SK is way better than doing odd jobs/labour jobs in Ontario or anywhere else.
traditionally Indians are business mind folks - they are always successful in business.
advantage doing business - in SK
1-If you wish, you can work 15 hours instead just 8, to make more money
2-you can employ your family /friends/relatives.
3-you are your own boss - no fear that someone will kick you out.
4- you can bring your all relatives (uncle , auntie, brother,sister cousine etc) from India in any numbers(processing time only 6 to 12 months)
5- Now Saskatchewan leading canadian economy - so unlimited opportunities to grow your business
Reg bad weather - this is a myth - probably you don't know the ground reality of SK, every week thousands of South asians moving to SK from other canadian provinces and directly from India.
go to any big city in SK, you will see many Indians/south asians around.
if you can handle winter in toronto than saskatchewan weather is not a big deal.
SK is definitely little more colder than ON, but you adopt climate.
SK has less snow than ON, but temperature is more colder
I persoanlly experienced SK winter - nothing special.
Due to recent high migration of Indian population in SK, most saskatchewan Temples expanding facilities/temple area to handle more devotees.
