I live in Toronto and it was my timeline:
letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), on February 28, 2011.
We started processing your application on November 7, 2011. but I forgot to send the photos at the beginning so They asked me to send them on November 10. I did it right away.
Your file was transferred to the St Clair CIC office on January 17, 2012. The St Clair CIC office will contact you if additional information is required.
We sent you a notice on February 2, 2012 to appear and write the citizenship test on February 21, 2012 at 1:00 PM.
We sent you a notice on February 23, 2012 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on March 8, 2012 at 8:15 AM.
It took me 1 year and 9 days since the moment they received the application. It could have been sooner but it was my fault for not sending the photos with the application.
For the test the duration is 30 min but previously they check everybody's documents in the room and they ask personal questions to verify that you speak english so the whole process is 3 hours. Do not be there too early just be on time.
For the ceremony is 2 hours
I am done, I am happy.
Good experience and reward after 4 years working hard and getting used to a new country.
Good luck everybody
This is a better place for posting and tracking citizenship timelines
