Here we go again! Where are we going wrong? Facing fast bowlers is the problem? Not srue. SRT and Laxman played well along with Gambhir. Kohli need to be shown the door, that too after the middle finger episode. IMO, he is not ready for test match, good for 1 dayers and 20-20. Not sure if Rohit Sharma has the ability. Raina was tried and he fell flat on his face in the tests. May be India need to relook at the openers and make some changes. Again not sure who is there who can stay at the wicket as long as possible.

If I,m right some major street I Delhi has been named sachin Marg.

It is all a scam.

Sharad powar will ensure that BHarat ratna will play till he gets his 100 gold coins.

Sachin's entry in 1989 coincided with flooding of satellite television channels. He is a good player, may be very good. But weren't there other players who were equally good or even better during their best years like G.R. Viswanath, Mohinder or Dilip Vengsarkar. When they were past their prime, they were dropped. But they did not have PR managers and sports journalists to trumpet their cause. How many times Sachin retrieved India from difficult situations like Steve Waugh, Bevan to name a few. Or did he play like Viv Richards to authoritatively ensure his team's supremacy. To my knowledge Viv did not use helmet. Sachin has been retained just to create the record as the cricketer who played most number of matches and during this long retention he does score only that much to ensure his place in the playing eleven for the next match/series, but not for the team's rescue with at least a draw if not victory. Otherwise, we would not have had the 4-0 whitewash in England nor the humilation now. Worse still, the entire middle order is emulating this "technique" of scoring only for the next match.

Enough bashing about sachin. He is not the only one who is playing for India. I think ramar2005 has just started to follow cricket for last 2 weeks. Go back to cricinfo and look at sachins record for how many time he was MoM, how many centuries he did...

Again Sachin scored more than others in the last match. Talk about Sehwag, Gambhir, Dravid, Laxman , Kohli and Dhoni. If you know enough, Ashwin has scored more than all of our Big players..even though he is not specialist.

Pujara, Rohit Sharma, and badrinath should be given chance.

There is discussion going on the tv channels reg axing Laxman and playing Rohit Sharma. Even Dravid is having problems, not sure why. The wall is the best player overseas. We have tow more to go, hopefully India will salvage pride.

Does reveal some interesting statistics.
While Sachin has been very good whenever India played first, having an average of 68, it drops to 49 in the 3rd and as low as 39 if India were to bat last.
On the contrary, if we take Sir Viv Richards his batting average is 54 in the 1st to 48 in the 4th i.e., if WI were to bat last.
For Alan Border, it increased from 52 in the first to 64 in the third.
Steve Waugh another comparable performer has guided his team to victory 27 times in 86 , while Sachin has done it only 16 times in 63 wins even though he has played more number of matches.
If Sachin had played one more session or involved in a hundred partnership we would have avoided 4-0 whitewash in England and even won the Melbourne test now. Cricket is a team game does not mean participating in the victory celebrations alone, but guiding the 8,9 and 10 tail enders and adding another 100 runs, which I have rarely seen from Sachin.
Now everyone in India speaks about sports persons also getting Bharat Ratna (which VM had wirtten prior to you) and hence had to speak about the same.
Sycophancy and idol worship which were not there in the absence of satellite channels yesteryear, may be the main reason why Sachin is not able to scale greater heights.
