Oops sorry guys i have been away from this forum for quite a bit of time. Anywayz i have some good news not that exciting, i got sponsorship approval in 1st week of March and soon has been sent to Newdelhi..

Last week my wife got email from newdelhi CIC to send her passport and we did that 2days ago....Hmmmm now actual waiting period starts for me

Hope any one on these post got some good news to share..

just got my wife's visa in 4mths since applying at mississauga

took 2mth and 17 days (to be exact) for application to process in ND. so its better than the 6 mth timeline they scare people with on cic website.

a question though if anyone can answer..
will they send back the documents i sent along with pictures, etc.
i heard they used to send it back before u get visa. but it did not happen for me

They recently increased processing time in Mississisauga from 55 days to 75 days....Seems like lot of ppl applying.
@ Suketu- My friend applied for his wife last year, he did get all his documents back.

I sent my original marriage certificate to them, so they better send it back to me. :S

Yes, 1 week before the processing time said "Working on applications received on Jan 25" and all of a sudden last week they changed the message to "working on applications received on January 18"..
They moved dates backward instead of going forward..
I don't know WTH they are doing sitting in their offices...

And now it is 88 days and 19th Jan...what is going on at CIC??

Gents,
Lot of spouse visa are getting rejected now a days in Delhi. This happen to my younger cousin. As very frustrating delay for another 2-3 years as it will go though appeal process.
In case interview comes up. Make sure the Canadian partner too attend the same in Delhi.
May be they are more strict with Punjab cases. But we are hearing many genuine marriage cases in Punjab are getting rejected. I don’t blame visa authorities. As lot of fraud also happens. That give bad name to whole community.
2nd point is instead of giving PR. Perhaps starting from june. They will only give 2 or 4 year visa. So maybe they are delaying everything.
3rd point is quota for spouse visa are reduced to let more parents visa added in a year quota. That will also delay the things. Best of luck to everyone
