Hi All

After reading this thread I have following questions:

1. I still have TN for couple of months and thinking to apply TN from someother company. Can I apply TN by mail for other company?

2. If yes when can I start work for that company?

3. What will happen to dependent visas?

-- Yes.

-- Only after that TN (from the other company) is approved.

-- The dependents (TDs) are tied to your TN, not your company. They will keep their (valid) TDs even if you get a new TN. They will renew TDs just before they expire.

My employer had applied for H1B for change of status(I-129) on Sept. 30th/2011 and still it's in initial review process...
If I don't get H1B approval before my TN expires..
Do I have to renew TN? or wait for H1B and continue working with same employer or leave US?

I changed my employer in 2004, I was hired by one company that company did not want to deal with desi company so told their major vendor to get H1. Vendor filed my emergency H1b I joined them on Monday vendor got my Notice of receipt before I got my first salary.

Once USA immigration has your application you can start work. I am not sure about current laws please confirm.

-- While this is ok for H1, it is not true for TN. You cannot start working before you have your TN approval.
