Hi CD's,
I will be travelling to India with my family including a child of 3 yrs old. I am in Mississauga and wondering if it will be better to avail parknfly i.e. park the vehicle at the Airport parking or to rent a taxi as there is an issue with the Child car seat.
Your reply in this regard will be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
AAA
Taxis are exempt from child seat laws
Thanks for your earnest replies.
However I have two questions:
1. Is parknfly safe as I have to leave my vehicle for three weeks?
2. I have considerable luggage to carry as we are a family with small kids. Is the shuttle from the parking to the airport and back convenient to carry luggage?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
AAA
1. One can never be sure when an incident is waiting to happen. As long as you don't leave valuables in the car, you should be fine.
2. You can drop the family at the airport and go and park and take the shuttle back. On the return trip, do the same, i.e. take the shuttle and get the car back, while your family waits at the terminal.
I've previously used this lot http://www.directflightparking.com/
Here's another one http://www.paylessairportparking.ca/

From Mississauga, prepaid taxi to airport costs $38. It is worth taking a taxi to and back rather than paying $150 for 3 weeks.

Are you there?
When I used the cheapest car park (next to park and fly and cheaper) it was $ 80 / week. So park and fly could be $ 300 for 3 weeks. Car will be safe, no doubt and the bus that picks you up will also have lots of space for luggage.
But then use Toronto airport limosine. in April 2012, I used the limo service (They sent a huge SUV). I was able to pack my 8 suitcases, 2 stroller, 4 bags and seat 2 adults. It costed me like $ 55.
So this is a better option. Just google and find out.
Other cheaper (desi cost saving) options are
1. Driving in your car multiple times to drop family, luggage and in the last trip use trhe TTC.
2. Use TTC from Kipling subway
