He said it absolutely true. Why 90%? I would say at least 98% of Indians are idiots. The more one clings on to the religion, the more seggregated they become, the more fanaticism and close-mindedness creep in. Rather, it should've been the other way as all the scriptures teach us the same thing - to be open minded, be humane, and live collectively. But, see what have we become - Close-minded fools that shout here and then as to how supreme each of our religion is. We don't even stop when immigrate offshore. That's an irony.

Here, he went over the top. It's something like this - people start taking you seriously, and it's when you realize you have to prove your presence by saying something abundantly lousy.

Nonetheless, I still wholeheartedly agree with most of his views (including the idiot one), except he couldn't escape from being one among the 90% of the Indians.

Katju is a buffoon. He is a mediocre guy who happened to be SC judge. Since he has become press council chairman, press has to publish the garbage he speaks and writes to appease him. I think he is aiming for a political role in future and hence all this “seccular” talk. I absolutely disagree with anyone who would put different religions, for example Hindu and Muslim in the same bracket. A careful perusal of the origin, evolution, reforms, philosophy and message of these religions would reveal that both are at contrast.
It is unfortunate that MSM has relentlessly campaigned to project that “all religions are same”. There is nothing more farther from this statement. Those who believe so should go to a mosque without notice and deliver that message. To blame Hindu and Muslim equally for intolerance like moron Katju does is nothing short of mockery of truth. There is more than enough material on internet about the issue.

As regards Katju’s belief that 90% people are fool, I do not have any statistics but I doubt that high a percentage being fools. I know for sure that fools are in majority. It is nature’s law that those who are weak, survive through numbers. Katju is certainly in that august group. Re-election of Obama and “clean and honest” MMS are the two living proof that fools have majority.
