I had been to BLS toronto to apply for a PIO card for baby.
1) After going there I was informed that the appt system on bls website does not work. (does not matter if you take and appt or not)
2) The PIO application forms at the BLs WEBsite are incorrect .. very frustrating.. why should incorrect forms be posted in the website
3) Also they are aksing me be submit originals of both parents passport,
original pr card and original landing documents.
I am concerned about handing over all the originals. What are my options ?
Is it a better idea to go for 6 months visa instead ?
If I have to stay for more than 6 months in India, can Indian visa for baby be extended in India ?
Is it possible to appy for PIO in India ?
Kindly post your suggestions.
Thanks.

Read the above link about BLS. It appears to be a total f*** up.
Anyway, regarding point 2, BLS probably regurgitated what the Indian consulate has in their website which in most cases will make your head spin.
Regarding point 3, that is the normal process. When things used to be handled by the Indian consulate and then by VFS, miraculously, none of the documents were lost for most people.

Thanks for your response.
One more point they told me was that they need the completed checklist from the BLS website but the forms must be from cgitoronto.ca. Yes it does make your head spin.
Also for PIO applications they will return the candian passport alone but keep the rest of the original documents.
Went to Renew my sons passport at their scarborough center and found the staff is totally untrained . Disputing their own checklist ..
After accepting the application I received couple of calls from them to submit more documents .
I sent a detailed email on my experience to external affair ministry but no reply so far ..
May be foreign ministers relative got a contract this time !!
