IPL betting scandal is just one of diversions...Recent resignations of high profile ministers already left trails to the PMO.
oh well who could have been better for this role other than Srisanth..Bhajji could have been the runner up but may have been plain lucky to escape due to his last name
I saw the interview with Dinesh Kalgi. He was a former flower vendor who was very good in playing cards. Now he's the biggest bookie and betting king. And he's right in his words.
People spend thousands to see an IPL match. I saw the first IPL first match, as a friend gave me a free membership pass. In the end its just the hype. Converting black money to white legally.

Diversion .... really .... Congress just won another BJP ruled state even after the corruption scandal broke right in the middle of polling. So do they really need a diversion

Lol! I spent (wasted?) many years playing Cricket and watching the game. Even though I was writing my professional designation final exam, I listened the thrilling World cup win by India in 1975. However, when the match fixing scam under honourable MP of educated and enlightened state of Andhra Pradesh Azharuddin broke, I stopped watching the game.
Cricket has been under control of Dawood Ji for many years. However, Indian are fixated with the drama. A culture that has been subjected to slavery for 1,000 years cannot be fixed easily. I doubt young people in India are offended by the fact that Dawood ji fixes the game and shares the booty of gambling with “the king of corruption”. IPL scandal is a symptom. Cause is culture of corruption. What India needs is either a violent revolution like in China under Mao. Then it would be materially successful as China is but without soul and contempt for human values. Else, India needs Sardar Patel., not another Jawahar Nehru. History is repeating after 70 years. Sardar Patel Vs. Jawahar Joker. Now it would be Modi (Chotte Sardar) Vs. Rahul (Chotte Nehru). However India itself has changed. Winner, for sure would be Rahul. I for once agree with Puttoo ji – but entirely for a different reason.
