Dear Members,
I would appreciate if some one could throw light on
how good Centennial College overall is
and
how well known is it for its Graduate Certificate program titled 'Strategic Management - Accounting' (Program Code: 2844)
It is a 8-month program and someone told me that it will make me job ready.
Also please let me know how is the placement scenario. Someone told me that 100% students get placed whereas somebody else says there are only 50% chances of getting placed and that too in some lower rung job which may not be in Accounting.
Awaiting your views/opinions/responses
Best Regards
Dear Members,
I would appreciate your inputs here. I am certain that your inputs will help in making an informed decision regarding this college/program.
Best Regards
Centennial college is for people to do some short term course. It is a community college (Similar to ITI of India). Do you want to study in ITI or a University?
Placements are all not guaranteed. Canada is now facing high unemployment.
Canada is not like USA. Immigration is strict.
Once you finish the course,it will be hard for you to convert your study permit to a work permit. UK is far worse but Australia is better.
Any more questions ?

What other options you have ? This may be best among worst and hence you chose to ask about it. What is your background in studies ? Target we are sure is canadian residentship which is hit or a miss now a days.
Btw, Centennial college certificate 8 months course, make no mistake will be gruelling for sure (a family member has done a similar course, so consider this first hand experience comment) and would have been worth spending time and money if the market was favourable. Unfortunately that is not. Next you will be looking for internship, then volunteer jobs all on your own cost , then still it will be miss or a hit. This is a risk you will be taking with odds almost 70-80% not so in favor. Do you have in you to fight it out !
Hi San-Hugo,
You sound aggressive. Anyways, coming to the point. The more rigorous the program the better. Maybe the economy is not that great.
I would like to know whether Centennial College in itself is good or not.
But otherwise how good (or bad) is Centennial College?
Waiting to hear from you.
Best Regards
What do you mean by saying good or Bad
Good or Bad depends on what you are looking at ......
For X a college is good because he need not attend the classes
For Y, a college is good because the fee is low
For M, a college is good because passing rate is very high
For N, a college is good because it is difficult to get an admission also to pass the exam.
If you think " Job Ready and 100 % placement" is the criteria for deciding weather a college is GOOD or BAD .... then consider all colleges in Canada are bad. Placement mainly depends on how GOOD you are ...
