As compared to the tall demands and his arrogant stand "I con't care about Republic Day" and "I am anarchist", sending two police officers on leave is not an achievement my dear friend. The real people with real agenda don't turn to gimmicks like this. They act. They make real changes.

It is the same AAP that insulted women and forced to urinate in public talking about safety of women? All this is to cover up Somnath Bharti and nothing else. It has nothing to do with the safety of women. Whenever you find anything, please post here where Kejri took an action to increase safety of women. Dharna is not an action, it is an agitation.

Before election the gang was saying that let us come to power we can solve all the problems. Now saying that let Delhi police come under us all the problems can be solved. Tomorrow even after doing this, in the same situation, you guys can come up with another excuse.

Kejriwal's inexperience is showing and his regime has started on a wrong step. He's getting slapped around left, right and center by the media hit men.

Unfortunately, his ineptitude might contribute to the fizzling out of genuine anti-incumbency that has gripped the political establishment.

This is what happens when you co-opt with crypto-marxists/naxalites like Aruna Roy, Prashant Bhushan etc. The Kejriwal phenomenon was designed for failure from the start by the prevailing powers-that-be.

This is what Gandhi said,

"Recall the face of the poorest and weakest man you have seen, and ask yourself if this step you contemplate is going to be any use to him."

Good to see Kejri is strictly following the basic priciples of the Nation's great forefather, when the latter's own party 'Congress' has long forgotten the basic principles under the aegis of which its forefathers fought for the country.

Kejriwal has rightly taken this principled stand, and I am sure Delhites (like myself) are still supporting him, at least, media and other parties' bashing nonetheless.

I think we need some aware ness here - one of the Officers protested against and sent on leave was the PCR van incharge in Paharganj where the Danish woman's rape took place ..

Read more at: http://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/arvind-kejriwal-ends-protest-wins-government-bows-lg-assurance-delhi-police/1/338975.html

We have seen the rape last year also and at that time also the refrain from Shiela Dixit was the same ...Delhi Police needs to come under Delhi Govt. ... Only then can there be accountability and control.

Let there be drama , let there be noise .. as long as it is in the right direction ..... I feel what should happen as per this episode is :

a. People will not blame Delhi Govt. for crime in Delhi ( happened with Shiela Dixit)

b. Delhi Police MIGHT become conscious .

c. The issue of DP coming under Delhi Govt. will come up amongst lawmakers sooner or later.

If things go in the manner they are , who knows we may have a revolution in sight bringing better life which Cong could not bring in 60+ years ...

Very true. After this agitation (or you can call it drama), now most of people of Delhi become aware that Delhi Police is not under Delhi Govt. so for any irresponsible behavior of Delhi Police, Central Govt. is responsible. It will also make Delhi Police a little bit responsible because now they know that there is someone who can raise voice against them too.

My understanding is that on this forum we have a good group of ex civil servants, army officers, engineers, doctors and other distinguished professionals. And this would mean that we can always express our opinion in simple language without demeaning any body's opinion or personality.

For those of us who are not clear about Kejriwal, he definitely has two things to boast of. One he has cleared one of the toughest technical exams in India and also one of the toughest services exam in India. Being a bureaucrat he is aware how much corrupt the whole system is and thus he has this novel way of protesting because our systems have shut down or rather there is no system left.

For those who are not familiar about the administrative system of Delhi, let me clarify a few things: There are 4 pillars of power in Delhi - Lt Governor, Comm of Police, VC DDA & Commissioner Lands of MCD besides the democratically elected Govt of Delhi. Now none of these report to Delhi govt in terms of having to follow the mandate of Delhi govt. This makes the governance of Delhi extremely difficult for any body. Sheila Dixit could carry on because she was from Congress and she could not protest openly and secondly she could do some back room diplomacy with Ma Sonia to get these other jokers to behave. Notoriously Delhi police behavior is like an open bull in Calgary stampede with no control. If after this much of Satyagraha only two officers could not be even suspended, we can imagine the reach of DP. Definitely money is going to HM of India.

Those of us who get the benefit of good governance in Canada should feel that if there is a spark of revolution in India then it is coming from Kejriwal. His method may be revolutionary but probably that is the only way left now. I was thinking of going back and start some mohalla safety committee and if not successful then act like a vigilante western style. It is really impossible for women folk and even decent male folk to survive in Delhi.

If any friends want to call me names for these view points, no issues but just think and compare the life we have her compared to what is being offered there in India.

All the best to our friend Nightmare as you are in one of the best medical hands where you do not have to pay for getting a toilet or napkins in the hospital.
