This election has made BJP a truly national party.

Having sending MPs from all states (except Kerala, among the large states) it is a great achievement.

Geographically BJP has won the north most seat and the south most seat. Also west most and east most.

This is a result that even a die-hard BJP supports might not have imagined.

Modi carried entire responsibility on his shoulders, crisscrossed the country during campaign. Other BJP leaders sat in their own places. Amit Shah did a great job in UP, Bihar, etc. Gujarat and Rajasthan were clean sweep for BJP.

Thank god the UPA era ended where the PM was mute and controlled by mom and son. Hope the new govt starts investigating various scams of the UPA including Vadra and his shady property deals.

Congrats to BJP/Modi, and good riddance Congress.

Hope Modi will now steer India to a path of progress/development; and somehow take steps to rid it from the deep rooted curruption as was originally promised and claimed.

I should've bought some shares/stock few months ago .

Also immensely glad and happy to see some AAP faces in Parliament too.

Over to Modi now.

I believe the change of guard at the center was a forgone conclusion and the seat was Modi's to lose right from the beginning. Appreciate his handling of the entire campaign to ensure there are no slips and the message is delivered well. It indeed is a tough job to campaign for almost a year without any hiccups and loss of intensity & focus.

Here's wishing he fulfills most of his promises...

My uneducated guess is that this is the end of Gandhi's (not congress) - Sonia is not fit and Rahul is lacking in skills. A shrewd politician like Modi will ensure that they are never able to dominate the congress ever (he will have ample support from other non-gandhi congress men). This will be an admirable achievement on its own.
