Read the PMBOK thoroughly for 3 times, Get Rita Mulchahy's sample tests CD and solve it as many times along with ethics code and you will be good.
Good luck!
I concur with Bhootnath but I would also suggest you to go through book on fundamentals of PM by kathy schwalbe . It is much easier to understand . If you find that you are unable to understand this book , than you may want to revisit your decision of PMP .
PMP is not very tough but definitely require being consistent and dedicated .
You can also approach Sudesh Singh from this site . He can guide you and will be very helpful .

Definitely go through the PMBOK latest version , read between lines and then do as many mock tests as you can. Take tests chapter wise and re-read the chapters after taking test.
Eat and sleep with the chart on knowledge areas vs process groups.
I 'll not suggest you to read multiple books (only if you have stamina of an year long prep).
Thanks Friends for the tips.
Any useful links for the mock exams... I
1. Give yourself 2 to 3 months prep time, approx. 3-4 hrs each weekday and 12 to 18 hours on the weekend
2. Set a target date, and book your exam (about 2 to 3 months down the road).
3. Read the PMBoK about 3 to 4 times. The book is very dry, and you'll find it difficult to stay awake. What I found worked for me is reading the book front to back once and back to front the next time. After each chapter read the corresponding chapter in Rita's book (PMP Exam Prep). Then solve some Q banks just for that chapter. Move on to the next chapter.
5. Second read onwards, concentrate on the Knowledge Areas that you're not very confident in.
Send me a PM. I probably have training material for the previous version of the PMBOK which I can share. Most of it should still be valid.
As an FYI, I've previously facilitated the PMP Prep Course at PMI-SOC and my work place, and currently an instructor for PM courses at my workplace.
