The world over, an interesting phenomena has been observed.

Mentally sick and sickular liberals ruin the economy but create a solid vote bank by giving out doles to a select section of society. When the economy gets dumped due to stupid policies, they lose the power. Generally, a conservative leader would then assume power briefly, set things right and in the process would alienate the voters. In the subsequent election, again a liberal would come back on the basis of some populist schemes.

In the Indian context cannot accept the statement "Corporations do not engage in criminal behavior" or may be even in USA there may be any number of examples.

In India the last UPA government did give doles to a select section of society, but that did not get them vote banks. but only more money banks stashed abroad. With the money made they could live a 1000 years without having to do any work. Why then they would bother about the people or vote banks but only about those corporations who financed their electioneering.

Now the same story has started getting written by the BJP government. Nobody knows what happened to the black money trail. Modi appointed a committee as soon as he came to power. Knowing the "democratic"ways in the last 60 years appointing committee was nothing but dropping a boulder on the issue's existence. Now the latest news is that they have "discovered" about 80 crores in Swiss bank accounts!!!

Probably when people in Modi's government serving the rich had made money to live happily for a 1000 years, they too would not bother about the election outcome. Will be happy to lose the elections like the UPA.
