The apartment only. Condo townhouses are not allowed to have access to the common facilities. BTW it has a nice library where there are many magazines (current) books, a coke vending machine and lots of video's.

I am a Gents and not a Ladies.
I lived in Waterloo for many years, but now in BC. It is a nice place for a young family. Safe, secure and easy. However maybe boring (small desi population).
There are Tamil, Indian, Hindi organizations. A temple (though poorly run) and much more.
But unlike bigger cities .. very safe and secure.
Thanks everyone. I am all set to reach waterloo by Nov end. Though I am coming in with job, my husband is searching job there. Everywhere we keep hearing that 80% of jobs is thru reference. Please guide us as you all would have walked thru this. How to approach these hidden jobs? we are not getting solid consultants list too. Please advise.

Ask him to take a course or something in Waterloo University and network with his professors, other students , people on the campus.
Just 1 course his enough , about 3 hrs a week..could be evenings and weekends if you want. about $ 400 .
Doesn't matter what age he is ..people from 18 yrs to 65 yrs will be in his class.
Also your workplace will be a good place to network. Your worker's and their spouses and your bosses , might know of something for him ..either at your work place or somewhere else.
I know a guy who got an IT job in Mississauga. he got his wife into the same company , but a different department about 2 months later. She didn't even have much experience.
Both of them go and come to work at the same time now
, he drives , she doesn't..so its good for them ..one car and one place to go to.....
Do let us know , what your experience was , after landing here. Keep us updated in a couple of months.
