Hi. So I have received my pre acceptance letter from Thompson Rivers University (TRU). Its located in Kamloops, BC. Now I need to pay the fees and then begins visa filing.
Kindly advice as to how I should be prepared for the visa filing. Anything in particular that I should be aware of ?

----------

What you got to know... Get all of the information ready for filing the application for a STUDENT VISA.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5269ETOC.asp
Check list:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5555E.pdf

Here is the link to their Fees Payment section of their website. (TRU). Please Obtain an Electronic receipt or an e-mail acknowledging the receipt with the initial dollar amount for obtaining a seat at TRU and for submitting the same for a Student Visa, Temporary Resident Visa.

If you are filling in the application for studies, you will have to provide an assurance and continued funding for the courses you will be taking there, for the total duration. So, you will have to get the dollar amount through your local Bank there and provide them a letter with the proof of funding. (Fees, Boarding and Lodging etc.,)

Hope you had a counseling session and Vocational guidance from an Institution of learning at the Indian end, prior to application to get into a course that will further you life and career.

Please contact TRU and obtain proper channels for wire transfer. The ABA number or the Swift Code, from them. Also request for an e-mail from the accounting section to you for a Visa Application with an acknowledgment.

Hi,
I had applied for my study permit and was rejected, however there was no specific reason for rejection mentioned. They only mentioned the following :- Other Reasons : Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of: your qualifications, previous studies, employment, level of establishment, language abilities, or your future prospects and plans.

I then reapplied with additional set of documents and was rejected again. Now I have 2 rejections and no specific reason for it.Well I analysed all possibilities but could not guess why my application could have been rejected. Hence I have applied for CAIPS in order to know the exact reason of rejection of my study permit. My intake was in September. However due to not getting my visa I cannot attend the same and will have to differ my admission for January.

I am very keen on coming to Canada and have worked very hard for it. Could you please advice as to how I should tackle this problem and what I should change when I reapply for the third time.
Please throw some light as to why does the Canadian Embassy not mention the reason for rejection. Besides this if there was a reason for rejection then how come the University accepted me.

Please advice your views about the same.

Regards
Danny

You have been given a lot of guidance by FH until now. There is NO definite or perfect application which can guarantee your visa. Take a step back and imagine yourself as the Visa officer reviewing your application. Does your course and study program looks convincing to HIM? Does your education history, your financial capacity, your work experience and the intended course of study seem logical? What would a stranger think about all of the above thinking logically? It has nothing to do with the college granting admission since that is their business, they are not concerned about what you will do besides your course. The Visa officer has to consider how your trip will effect the country? Will you add to the assets of this country or will you become a liability or security risk? I don't mean all this applies to you personally, just giving you a brief understanding of possible questions in the mind of Visa officer. Especially when someone seems desperate to enter and tries to stitch together a plan to make that happen. Most of the times they are able to figure it out, sometimes you might just be unlucky to land in the doubtful pile... There is not much you can do.

If you wish to try again, do review the whole process, logic and the supporting paperwork as seen by a stranger, correct as needed. Like I said earlier, there is no complete check list of questions, answers or papers to guarantee Visa, it plain honesty as reflected in the paper work and not trying to weave a long shot story.

Good luck.

Hiren

Well said Hiren. You have provided him with an impartial view and a great suggestion.

He is saying he is getting the CAIPS notes to get a better view of the judgment made by the IO declining a study permit. May be we can comment upon it at that time, if we get to review the notes too.

I have provided him with all of the best and excellent suggestions and he by himself has done everything to gain entry and better his career with suggestions for good advancement by consulting a Vocation Guidance Councilor, prior to enrolling. I hope he has done that after careful consideration. That is the area where I am a little bit leery about and if he has failed to that, it is reflected in the IO's views and turning him down for a study permit.

The IO is shooting you down with a statement that your BASIC Education you had does not permit you to change the field to an MBA course as he sees you lacking in the skills required for entry. It also shows the lack of judgment exercised by TRU. This is the first time it has been brought up here and if the IO is correct, then, the OP did not consult the VGC there in India, prior to choosing a line of studies.

This shows the caliber of IO's that they hire currently to do a careful study, just to see if they will succeed in life and also do well for Canada.

AT THE SAME TIME.. I wish the OP well and he deserves a Darn Good Boost in his life and he has the skills, the ability to go forward as a self starter, Great Language skills and sufficient funds to top it off too. In my books he can go to any country to make a great head start, whether it be USA or even Australia, if not in January, prepare for the next August/September.

I feel no one can ruffle his feathers. So, Good Luck to you DAN.

FH.
