Happened in the early 90s too when Iraq invaded Kuwait. The precision bombing of targets and using missiles like Patriot did the trick. It was short work for the US army when they moved in.

I really felt sick of knowing Islamic State militants had beheaded a second Japanese hostage, journalist Kenji Goto on saturday.
Seems there is no end ... and the world is becoming very complex place day by day. Those who travel to some of "those countries" for whatever the reason need to be VERY CAREFUL.
