i agree totally, mishej. this reminds me of a zen story.
a man finds a magical tree that can grant any wish.
"i wish for a palace made of diamonds!"
it appears.
"i wish that in the palace, i had a room full of treasure, a room full of good friends, and a room full of wives!"
they all appear.
"this can't be happening to me. it can't be real", the man exclaims.
the palace disappears.
"i don't deserve any of this"
the end.

I think we all seem to agree that staying positive in tough times is a good thing, the difference is probably how important we consider this to be. In any case, I guess the natural next step to this is figuring out what you can do to stay positive.
I'm sure each one of us has been in situations where we feel like giving up or feel like venting our frustration at someone or something else. What do you guys do in times like those? How do you remedy the negativity?
Me, I usually take to reading. To me, biographies of great men and women are some of the greatest sources of inspiration. Reading some sci-fi also gives a great diversion. Going bowling or playing pool with friends is another one of those things that helps.
What about you guys?

i also get negative often, the unpleasant effects of it suck out any feeling of well being and happiness from within. Another symptom is that i find myself focussing on the chances of failure more and worry abbout problems which do not even exist. !!
To keep a check,
1. i eat out , krispy creme original glazed can put an instant smile
.2. Think about the people in my native place.
3. apart from reading success stories,famous quotes , i also find business reading is a great motivational tool.
4. Go for a long walk, the results are great, always.
5. and most importantly .... i've got Mishej now to keep a check on me
