Hi,
i am an aspirin immigrant to canada and have been working in the financial services industry for the past 8 years in India.
i have been advised to take the Canadian Securities Course to boost my chances of getting a job in the CANADIAN FINANCIAL SERVICES Industry.
wanted to know where i could find sample papers to judge the level of examination, cost of the examination and books for preparation.
would be great if i could get a prompt response.
thanks a lot.
The most you can expect is getting a job as a bank teller over here ..or selling commissioned based mutual funds , mortgages etc. The financial products which are the worst , will have the maximum commission on them.
The bank will pressurise you to sell these worthless products to customer's ..usually old & gullible & financially illeterate people , so if you have a conscience don't do that.
Hi Joshua
You may have to research "Canadian Securities Institute" website for details on the subject examination. Once you register, they provide you with sample exams which you can practice before appearing for the final exam.
Not sure whether "adamthorat" is working for the financial industry in Canada.
While it is an expectation that you start in the banking industry from the bottom and climb up.....it is not necessary that everyone will work as a bank teller and stay there. Completing CSC will give you an edge compared to others in the canadian job market.
If you need to speak/discuss in detail....send me a PM.
Regards
