India, more than religion needs prosperity and corruption free society, efficient Policing, Judiciary, Governance, and equality, cast-creed free environment.

Country on religious lines is bad. But could not understand is it the same to own up the cultural history of India whether it is from Hinduism, Buddism, Jainism and Sikhism.
Indonesia, names its national carrier "Garuda", prints the image of Lord Ganesha in its currency notes. It shows the self-confidence that it is not going to harm the interests of the muslim majority country.
Many countries show Cross on their national flags. Does it make them any way more communal (at least at the outset).
In India, the moment someone sings a song praising the Goddess of Learning Saraswati at the beginning of a function in an educational institution, or Vande Mataram in a State Assembly, or even a mention of Sanskrit or Yoga, people raise hue and cry. They go to any lengths to dishonour the Event. Just like Hindi, not learning Sanskrit is a big loss as it can improve children's vocabulary tremendously. Are Islam and Christianity so weak religions that they cannot be broad minded to accept the cultural history of the country that is common to all of us.
The important fact is in not accepting our common history, there ever lies the danger of country's break up.

The basic definition of Sanatan Dharma is acceptance and accommodation of all religions.
Sarva Dharma Sadbhav and Sarva Dharma Sanmaan....
Is there any other religion saying so? Probably not.
It is quite ironic that people belongs to such narrow religions(and countries dominated with those people) are preaching Indians to be "Secular" who is fundamentally "Secular".
By a very simple logic - Most Primary Book for any Religion - could be classified as "Racist" books.

Still cannot come to terms with Obama wishing India success but with riders. "Will be successful only as long as". Obama the President of the most powerful nation on earth, claiming himself to be "practicing christian"!
Will Obama like it if someone were to wish his daughter on her birthday, only as long as she does not use drugs, only as long as she does not...... etc., etc.
May be we can consider this as benchmark for their religious tolerance.
