It is said in the Star that many families are missing on important funding from federal govt. for children under the age of 18.
Under proposed enhancements to the benefit, families would receive almost $2,000 a year for each child under six and $720 a year for each child aged six through 17.
Poilievre says families that aren’t getting the current benefit or haven’t applied for a child tax benefit should log on to canada.ca/taxsavings to learn how to apply.
“If you’ve got kids under 18, you qualify. Period. It doesn’t matter how much you make or the type of child care you choose.
People like Hasni who are new to the country or immigrants earning family income less than $ 60,000 per year (and who have children below 18) are the ones who will be mostly benefitted by this.
Pass it on.

Is there any age limit to which child benefits can be applied for after a child is born here .. without losing on benefits retrospectively ...
In other words , can the benefits be applied for retrospectively when the child turns 3 .. assuming that they have not been applied for since birth.

Fido.
when I filed my income tax that time my accountant mentioned on my tax return about Sports, Music, child care in expenses to CRA.
when we do tax file than isn't automatically count this all benefits by CRA?
any idea, Do we have to apply separately for all these benefits or not?
regards
