Hi Guys,

Just wanted to know if any of you are using Harmony universal remote to control your entertainment centre. I am looking to consolidate all my remotes into one, and zeroed it on the Harmony 650. I am already using one universal remote provided with by the cable provider. But, I want to have more control and sophistication.

Any reviews? I am aware of the setup process and on the outset it appears to be time consuming. But, how about the usage/functionality overall?

Above all else, is it Wife and Parents friendly once set up? :)

Sorry back to your serious q .. I hope others can answer it ...

I've been using the Harmony One for almost 2+ years and it's excellent. Got it from Costco when they were clearing it out for around $130. It has a small touch screen + buttons

I previously had the Harmony 800, the volume button on that one gave up. That's a common problem on that model. I've heard that if I call Logitech, they'll give me a 50% discount code if I provide them with the serial number. Once you give them the serial number, it will be deactivated the next time you connect online. So if you still want to keep using your broken remote and get a discount code, don't connect the old one online. Their online prices are not the greatest and hence I haven't bothered.

The good thing about these remotes is they have a "learn" feature. So you can actually program a particular button from your old standard remote to the harmony, by infrared. A feature very easy to use.

op, I don't have experience with the 650, but suggest you check online to confirm if that model has any issues with any buttons like the 800. Anything else in particular you'd like to know.
