Hi OP,
We r in vaughan, n v happy with schools in general ....
my kids r in elementary school.
Yes I also saw the ratings for high school r not great ....
but there r lot of new schools being constructed and lot of families moving in, so no one can forecast the ratings of these new high schools by the time my kids will go to these schools. I am hoping they will be good. Maple HS is only one for long an has ok rating. But depending on where u live in vaughan u can get different high school.
I feel westhumber-claireville is best area to stay coz of Westhumber JMS frm KG to Gr8 (best school academically with 80% Indian children) and Martingrove high school also know for good academically.

Revenge can be bitter sweet, but if u sit back and watch, KARMA can be pure entertainment.

Hi Cherry,
We can share our experience with you as we went thru the same situation couple of years back. Coincidently we also used to live in Ajax and were looking for a place to move with better education options for our kids. We chose Thornhill(Bayview/John) area and so far it seems like a good option. Our kids are still young(elementary) but the local school here has 8.9 rating and is pretty nice. Best thing we like about this area is a nice balance of cultural mix with no single community in majority....Location wise also its pretty well connected - Finch subway station is 15-20 mins by bus/car,407 is only 2 min drive from here...lots of trails/parks in the neighbourhood....
Hope it helps.
Cheers.
Hi TK – whenever you post, please see that your post
- Is relevant to the subject.
- Is contributing/helping/suggesting/informative to the OP.
- Has some contents.
- Is not just a one liner with a sole motive to raise the post count.
Sorry Delh-ite.
I was really laughing at Adam's reply. The answer was class.
Actually, if you see, in another thread HW 36 had started off a totally useless topic which is not relevant at all to CD (Pakisthan-Muslim-Rape) and again, if you see, I have not even posted one observation in it.
My one liner was not to increase my post count (My post count can be increased by posting knowledgeable replies and I really donot need one liners to increase it.).
My one line reply actually meant t HW36, the following :
1. Donot post name of minors (son / daughter) as it can lead to undesirable consequences.
2. We are watching each and every step of CD's (to ensure that they donot get overboard with their ideas).
3. It is good to be optimistic but again donot post personal details (like husband's salary, husband quarelling with you, slipping on ice, i love snow, I love no snow etc...)
4. Donot introduce your business in CD (I own 3 houses. I only rent to new immigrants for a few month or one year, I buy pizza pizza to neighbours with discounted cards, I pay $ 7 in pennies for muslim people for science projects and all).
