Suggestions for cheap & best beauty parlor/salon in Toronto

Hi Ladies,

I live in downtown & Full Arm & Leg waxing costs around CAD 80

Any suggestions for cheap & best beauty parlors/salons in Toronto??? Location is not a problem as long as it's in Toronto coz I have a TTC pass.

I have heard that in Brampton & Mississuaga, there are parlors that charge $2 or 3 for eyebrows & stuff. Any such luck in Toronto (preferable downtown)??

Browse for 'Mahek Beauty Salon' , Islington .

It appears to be reasonable , popular and on TTC route ...

Thanks for the suggestions. 'Mahek Beauty Salon' is still costlier than other desi parlors.

I found few on kijiji in Markham & Etobicoke where charges are : eyebrows - $2 & waxing FA - $10, FL - $15. Though very far from downtown, I can travel on a weekend coz it saves me $ 50-70 compared to downtown parlors.

Girls in Missisuaga & Brampton r lucky, such inexpensive parlours are dime a dozen there :)

On a side note: Why do we have a separate section only for one Gender? I thought we talk about equality more often? What about 'Canadian Sakha' for Guys' talk? Why can't girls/women post their queries/topics in the general section, where everyone else posts? What is it that they need to discuss which can't be in the general section?

Sorry for hijacking the thread, which was not my intention. Was just wondering. You're free to ignore it.

I do not wanted post in this section but you dragged me ..so just one reply--and if you want more let's chat separately.

Equality & privacy are 2 different things - women are different than man by nature - so let's give them some room for that...

you will not enjoy ladies-ladies discussions for very long time unless you are like that one individual guy (biggest supporter of sharialaw-radical islam) who worked with Nawaab's/Arab's and developed taste/nawabi shauk and love participating in female talks.

when a man want go for pee and can't find washroom , he may quickly run in to backallley and do the job - a women will think twice before doing this ...many more things where women react differently than man.

laugh/joke-related to topic -see how society react when a female do same thing as male or otherway around.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkrU5cX-FA0" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkrU5cX-FA0

so when it comes to respect and equal opportunities in job /society then Yes women must have equal status.
but when it comes to privacy they deserve some privileges...as they were designed by creator slightly different than he/she designed a man.

Please do not protest tomorrow and ask government to find way so man also get pregnant like women(Arnold schwartzneger style;)-this way man & women will be perfectly equal :D

All I am trying to say--nothing wrong if our female members get little private room at CD for their female specific discussions.

I don't have any concerns. It was just a thought. As I said, posters are free to ignore my comment. Nothing personal, guys.

Ladies, please carry on. I regret the diversion. :)

Where is the privacy on a public forum ??

Oh yes now that you mention it they do have it in Islamic societies ... one separate ' Mardana section ' and the other 'Janaana section' .... Wondering is you are referring to the same ... ;)

It might have started as a good idea for ladies talks etc. but did not pick up because of lack of privacy ...

As far as generic discussions are concerned where people can help regardless of the gender they generally do and should do ....

My asking for Mens Hair Color and ladies responding helpfully to it and then this thread asking references for women's parlors and I referring one which I know as being popular through other ladies are good examples ....
