Dear friend,
My desktop has gone bad. Was on sleep mode and never woke up when I press the power button, the fans spin for a while and then it's dead. Please tell me few good desi shops in Mississauga where I can get it fixed from. I can also share few technical details if someone on the form can help find the real issue. It's a Dell core 2 duo, precision. Thanks
There is a flea market on Mavis and Dundas, there are few computer shops there. I went to the first shop after entering the building, got my laptop repaired from there.
There is another shop on Hurontario Dundas, if you are going from dundas to burnhamthorpe on hurontario then you will see this store on hurontario street on your right before hillcrest.
Take quote from both location and decide.
What you may try before going to store.
-Check if there is any cd or usb connected to desktop, try disconnecting and restarting.
It's very important to be slightly handy in America's. See if you can follow the advice posted below before heading out.

Good luck.

I am not sure if it will be of any help repairing the computer. They will not charge less than $ 50 to see what is wrong and then they will ask you for min. $ 100 for the parts to repair it.
I would throw it away and buy a used one from Kijiji. Many sell before they leave Canada and it often turns out to be a good one.
Can you imagine that I actually bought a used laptop (3 year old on lease) for $ 1000 in 2002. It was a P3. I worked on it for the next 4 years (mostly for browsing and sending resumes) before I bought a brand new on for $ 400. I was supposed to give the old P3 to HW36 for free (it was working well but was a P3) but due to some technical reasons threw it in the garbage.

For Laptop - I found Canada computers service better than others. other stores you may check are The Source / Best BUy, they all do price match.
Many ppl go for high end configuration and hardly use 2% of the features provided. My advice would be to go for medium configuration computer unless you are using this for some serious programming or gaming. why am I saying this is because you'll find lots of deals on the medium config PCs.
You can get a refurbished / off lease i3 / i5 for $220 - $250 from factory direct ( on sale sometimes) or on Tech Source Canada ( who currently have one on their weekly flyer ... google )
