Wind Mobile for $ 35/month , unlimited calling, unlimited texting and unlimited data , CD and VM, if reception is good in your area and you are in their zone.

Wind mobile would be a bad choice, due to their reception issues. I would rather suggest Mobilicity as their network now users Rogers infrastructure, not the old AWS system. Get a good plan during holidays before Rogers hike the price.

Get into the spirit of the season with this great offer!
http://mobilicity.ca/promotions/40-holiday-offer/

For only $40/month, get UNLIMITED:

Data
Canada-Wide Talk
Text
North American Long Distance
Global Text
30 Minutes North American Voice Roaming
Voicemail, Caller ID and Call Features

The other options would be Fido/Koodo/Virgin. The plan would cost about 50 dollars, unlimited calling, 2G data - bring your own phone plans. Just get a unlocked phone to go with it.

Thanks for your replies friends, can any user of Mobility user , please share their experience?
I had bad experience with them, although this was when they launched their services, couple of years back.

Mobilicity unlimited zones are small and few, as compared to Wind Mobile. You will pay roaming outside these zones.

Rogers will increase the $ 40 plan after Jan 3, 2016 even if you sign up now. You will have a better network, but the Mobilicity price is not grand fathered nor are the minutes and data, after the Rogers acquisition is complete.

Telus did exactly the same thing, when they took over Public Mobile. People signed up quickly with cheap PM plans as they thought after Telus takes over they will keep the plans/prices as is & they will have the better Telus network, but Telus increased the prices and reduced the data.

Rogers will do the same and much worse. This is just a bait & switch from Rogers, using Mobilicity as the dangling carrot. Rogers is more interested in Rogers, Fido & Chatr and have zero interest in Mobilicity plans or its customers. They only bought them to prevent Wind Mobile from taking them over. Mobilicity will be slowly transitioned to Chatr after the takeover, with Chatr prices and plans, even for existing Mobilicity customers.

With Wind Mobile price/plan is guaranteed, with Mobilicity not so much. Wind Mobile reliability is going to increase a lot NOW as the Mobilicity AWS spectrum is going to be transferred to them as a part of anti competitive deal, when Rogers bought out Mobilicity.
