Why do I get the feeling that Thorat is back.....
Anyways, according to Mobilesyrup, Rogers has confirmed that 40$ Mobilicity plan will be honoured by Rogers after the network switch. However, based on Rogers history, they most probably will come up with a way to limit the service. Regardless, its a good plan on a good network. You are not singing up a contract. So if they make changes, just move to another provider. Use your power of not being in contract.

Friends
I am looking for reliable cell phone carrier in/around missisauaga/toronto area. Any pointers for any deals/promotion happening now. Also I had previous service number which I had returned to my employer. can I get same number with any other service providers.
I don't think that you can get your previous number as it belonged to your Employer and not to you.
When talking reliable , forget Wind .... You can try Chatr and Mobilicity ( which now works on the Rogers network)

Fido.
If the employer calls the provider and transfers the number to your name, you can then port it to another provider. You night have to pay penalty if the number has a contract attached to it (most of them do).
