I think you are mistaken. If Indian Politics is anything to go by for the past many decades since independence (Yes, BJP was there too as it fought many elections with money and might), then 'Money' is everything, and a load of it.

Congress made truck loads of money in 2G, Coalgate and CWG scams. But it only increased its contempt for the people. Their arrogance made them call NaMo a "chaiwala", which made them lose the election. Now, Gulam Nabi Azad calls NaMo's government, ''ladkiwala'' i.e., bride's group in a wedding and themselves as groom's party and as their reason for blocking the parliament. Only after losing all their scam tainted money in running the party and in successive elections, they may come back to senses.

Amidst of this brouhaha, Modi visited Pakistan. I'd say a good stance, and a Googly to the Indian opposition, Pak Army, Kashmiri separatists, and media, all at once. Never before the shock waves of this magnitude hit them all.
A good step indeed. There's no alternative to peace and Economic cooperation between the neighbors in the current scenario. Needless to say, Modi impressed me greatly here.
May be Modi might have thought Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan were far better than scam queen and her party. The latter went to the extreme in blocking the parliament just for the sake of hiding her own scams. She was not bothered about good things not happening to people like the Nirbhaya and other important Bills.

It is also true that he was one of the earlier supporter of Idea of Modi as a PM. Not sure what is the state of relationship between him and Modi. Whatever it is - he is one of the leader who doesn't have his own support base. Just like Chidambaram and Man Mohan Singh. BJP will not loose anything by asking him to step down.

Jaitley is the globalists' man in the current regime. Unfortunately, the word "globalist" is associated with conspiracy theories, so it does not get the mainstream, corporate-whore media's attention( they are themselves meshed with the globalists). Modi himself is a globalists' rep. There are competing factions amongst the globalists as well, with varying levels of autonomy and independence.
Subramanyian Swamy is a loose cannon. He is suited as the lone-wolf outsider. Modi's job is to balance the various factions within the BJP.
I think pending bills may soon pass through Rajya Sabha, as Congress' g0nads are in Modi's hand(National-Herald/Young-India case). All Modi has to do is to incrementally squash them harder and harder until Pappu-Sonia turn red and eventually relent.

Unable to refute the allegations of Kirti Azad , BJP terminated him and NaMo remained a mute spectator ( although KA's termination must have been with his acceptance)
To further support / and save his 'in the eye of the storm' stooge finance minister Arun Jaitley of corrupt DDCA practice NaMo again relies on his highly unethical and shameful proxy war in Delhi using LG Najeeb Jung as a tool ...
We are to remember that unable to digest the Delhi public verdict of his defeating defeat in Delhi , NaMo created a proxy Admin body , by giving special powers to the LG vide a special Centre circular .......
I wonder what the NaMo supporters have to say about his creating a proxy Admin against the public wishes OR about his silence on Arun Jaitley's wrongdoings ...... OR LG Najeeb Jung declaring the DDCA scam probe committee as unconstitutional.....
I don't have any qs on my mind that Arun Jaitley is guilty and hence all this cover up ...... Why doesn't NaMo own up and correct the exceptions rather than playing a dirty game ??? ..
