Few questions regarding parent sponsorship file. I applied in Feb 2011. Online status shows they started to work on file as of March 2011. After sending all papers again in October 2014, now received an email stating that file is sent to Ottawa (instead of India) for further processing. My questions are below,

1) Online status shows my mother and brother's name as dependent. I have double checked my file. I did not put my brother as dependent as he is already 28 but not sure why it's showing under dependent. Does it mean that I need to update everything about him as well. i.e. work, marital status ets (he got married 2 years ago)

2) Parents are visiting Canada from March 2016 to August 2016. Is it possible to extend their visitor's status so they can stay 6 months more (their entry visa expires in June 2016)

3) Do you think above 2 points require professional help?

1) Congratulations are in order to your Brother. Leave the file systems as they are. It should not bother your Parents application. Now wait and watch. They have given 10,000 Immigrant openings for the current year, in the Parents and Grand Parents classification. So, they are due their entry soon. But it will call for another medical, if it has not been completed as yet, plus they will also need a lot of updations.

2) Same procedure will be asked for their additional stay here in Canada, when you ask for its extention, Six moths from their entry. So, be prepared for that also. ( You are mixed up in your dates there)

3) I do not see any complications in your Parents visit into Canada or in their application for entry as an Immigrant. So, wait for a while.
