2016 : TFSA/ RRSP - Where to invest ?

Hi ,

Where should one invest in for TFSA / RRSP .... I have unutilized TFSA contribution and some previously parked TFSA funds which I would wish to invest in a good yield investment / fund .

From RFD , following link these funds are offering higher return

CDF KeyReach Savings -1.80% ($50 transfer fee)

Hubert Tickled Pink TFSA - 1.75% (No transfer fee)

Crosstown Civic Credit Union TFSA - 1.75%

AcceleRate Financial AcceleRate TFSA Savings - 1.75% ($50 transfer fee)

Maxa Financial TFSA Savings - 1.75% ($75 transfer fee)

Implicity Financial TFSA Savings Account - 1.75%

People's Trust TFSA - 1.75% (No transfer fee)

Achieva TFSA - 1.70% (No transfer fee)

I was recommended this fund from RBC:
http://funds.rbcgam.com/pdf/fund-pages/monthly/rbf186_e.pdf -

this is for investment in C$. There is a similar product in US$ which has higher return (due to recent currency fluctuations).

1.7% returns don't seem attractive in TFSA. I will target something in 5%~6% range.

More suggestions welcome.

Hiren

I am going to push this thread way over my head and may a be others too, by just giving you all an example here first and then expand upon it gradually as time progresses, will make it more interesting. Then, in my next post when I get all of the details that are coming my way shortly, will plug the same under this. That way there will be some continuity and the mystery will slowly unfold, as I am also short of all of the technical details currently and I will do the studying together with you all and will also get a feed back from you. Will we get ahead in this game after that? ... that remains to be seen, as it depends upon the capacity of each and everyone who will visit here and want to learn the topic as it slowly progresses.

In TFSA when you plug in the funds with a Bank or a Broker, they might take a few bucks when you withdraw and other than that there is no advantage, unless you get into any Mutual Fund and pay their fees or their loading and pay the same on a continuing basis and make some gains in this financial markets, BUT tax free. Hope they will allow you to deduct these as expenses when they take the fees and the loading also. What happens when you do this is an interesting feature that which I will explain here as an example.

Say when you start to work at the age of 16, (Who does it anyway? and a few do) and try and take your retirement at 65, (It got moved to 67 and they say that it will be brought down once again to 65) you have full 50 years made available to you and in fifty years if you are paying 2% fee on these Mutual Funds, you have paid as much as you have in your account to the guys who managed the funds for you. And Imagine if he has a few more investors then it is a very nice field to get into and play dead, just like what these F.Advisors do. I like that.!!

So, based upon this I started to learn a little bit about the Stocks and the Bonds and the Commodities and its fundamentals and started to get to know more about the Moving Averages and the cross overs and do some technical analysis to go with it, but found I lacked the time during the daytime as we all work for some one else just to keep a roof over our heads and a loaf of bread on the table. So, this process of learning continued and I finally decided to do it on a full time basis first during the after hours and then right through the day. I know,... you want to know where did that get me. I can only say, right here to this thread and what I know for starters you will also get to know and the learning process is an ongoing thing and it never seems to end. That is good in one way and not so good in any other, because it tells you what ever you have learnt all these days is not sufficient enough, but will make you a better individual every day. Why so? Because the technology is advancing very fast and it is hard to get to know how fast and who is letting you know about the newer developments in this field for us to get ahead of the game.

Just to get you started, when you stand in front of a BIG Building wanting to get in, you see their times of operations OPEN on the left side and Close on the RIGHT side with the days of operations to go with it. Now if you take a line you will know where the top is and where the bottom is. Based upon this they used the Newspapers to give you the Black and White Charts to work with once a week and we all called our broker for his opinion to Buy, Sell or Hold a stock, either by visiting his offices or over the phone. He got the stock or the share and in some countries it was also called the SCRIPT for you to hold. When you sold the same it got back into the company that owns the share/script and the Broker got it into his DEMAT account for you and you got the money a few days later as a settlement. That was one such process. A few still live in that era and you also know it takes a long time to get into this current financial world of things. This buy and sell was ONE Transaction. More on it as time progresses.

Will we get more than 2% return in this TFSA. YES, we will have to work our way into it and do it gradually and in a much better way and smoothly too. That is the project. Now will we make our Millions in this? YES, mark my words, you will be doing it your self. How sure are we? If I can trade without the fear and I can put you across the same line of thinking, you will be able to teach some one else to do the same. Why am I doing this? because it is my nature and you all are the beneficiaries. FEED A MAN A FISH (Or anything for that matter) HE LIVES FOR THAT DAY. AND TEACH A MAN TO FISH AND IT WILL FEED HIM FOR HIS LIFE.

I will continue under this shortly.

They have provided me with a few links and i will provide you with the same here under for you to get to know them and if you find it is good and you are becomimg profitable to trade through them, then go ahead and make it a REAL TIME Account and then slowly find your way to the top.
