I sat down to watch the Indian innings fully. Boy, I was amazed with Virat Kohli's game. Its been a while since I have seen anyone playing so confidently.
He seem to be very natural batsman after Sachin Tendulkar.
His off side push (many) was so comfortable and easy, applied the full bat adjusting the speed same with his pulls.

I may be over exaggerating but I haven't seen any batsman playing this good off late...

In the last 20 years, the game has evolved more strategic compared to your physical prowess alone, his openly displayed aggression in the game could be deterrent in the long run, esp as he loses his form which happens to every player in the game.

Indian bowling precision has also developed a lot.

My perception, the team with this form is unstoppable. Good luck.

Yes, it was a very exciting match. It was like a dream chase. Kohli does generate a lot of power on some shots that the rest of the players try to place, hence he score more boundaries that any other player. Most commentators attributed those new shots to strong wrist and years of practice. If India can get 2 more quality batsmen who are 50% as good as Kohli, India will win many matches in the years ahead.

Kohli's prowess aside, what the heck has been wrong with Rohit Sharma and Dhawan? I can't recall the last time they played well, or even moved beyond 20s. Isn't it time to give them some rest and bring in Rahane and/or someone from the bench?

Here is a problem I have with this statement.

You just can not rely upon one player, or even two to click every single time. Sharma, Yuvraj, and Dhawan still need to get their groove back. Bowling is quite an average right now. If you look closely at the last two matches, then the Bowling surely has its fault lines. I mean, how can you fathom 160s or even 140s in 20 overs. Good bowling lineup never concedes more than mid 120s in T20. Bangladesh was a close call, and it was purely by a sheer chance coupled with B'desh's inexperience in the last over temperament that India won the last ball thriller. Similarly, Australia did manage to score well too.

We need to get out of this 'One Man Army' glut. It was Tendulkar then, and Kohli now. At least, Tendu was well complimented by the class apart Dravid, Ganguly, and some of the good bowlers.

Who does Kohli and Dhoni have? Winning still matters at the end, but still.

P.S. And by the way, what the heck is Jadeja doing in the team? This joker neither knows how to bat or bowl. Captain's love, eh!

The positive is - lot of batsmen are due for runs as India enters semis.
Yuvraj gone, Rahane might open bringing Rohit down to no 4 keeping left-right combinations aligned. Knowing Dhoni he will not like to bring more than one change to team.

In the mean time , I am watching Englishman Roy mauling New Zealand to ground and under in first 10 overs.

So, it's English vs. India in the finale :). Let's see what transpires in the semis.

Haha, this used to be the attitude of Indian players for may years when they face teams like West Indies, NZ, BD etc. In T20, any team can win. So its better not to be complacent and treat it like a WC semi. Also, I noticed that Dhoni is really switched on these days, something that we havent seen him do in the last 4-5 years. That will definitely help India.
