Hello friends,
Any suggestion for good reliable Kodi box to purchase?
I do have an IPTV with monthly subscription but need another connection in a second room.
doing research for last couple of days and now totally lost and confused because of so many android boxes in the market for sale...
anyone have a first hand experience or suggestion for good box to run Kodi? what specification to keep in mind to buy android box?
would be great if price range is upto $100..
regards
If you are a bit tech savvy and able to download the Kodi Video Add-ons by yourself, then I would recommend going for the Raspberry pi. I have the OpenElec (Kodi) installed on my main TV and thus far encountered no glitches, except for one time when I had to reinstalled it afresh. I bought it for $100 including the pi, case, sd card, wifi usb.
Another option is to buy the Amazon Fire HDMI stick and download the Kodi on it. It is also the cheaper option than the Ras-pi. Not only you can side-load Kodi on it, but could also use Amazon's pre-installed apps/channels. I think I am going get one for another TV I have.

By the way, if you don't mind telling me as to which IPTV you got with subscription package? How's the quality and if there is any downtime? Any Cricket included? Is it easy to manage with remote for the tech-challenged parents? I hope you don't mind so many questions.

Actually, it should be straight forward install. You can search online for this. I am going to buy it in a week or two and then can update you. But, in the meantime you can have a look here:

I think you can easily return it with a full refund if not happy with it or not able to install Kodi. Even then, you have nothing to lose buying a $50 device. It's dirt cheap.
If we watch Canadian or US content on IPTV from these subscription based private servers can our Internet Service provider do Bandwidth throttling assuming you a DSL connection?
I am also thinking to invest in IPTV but wondering which is the most stable & reliable one.
RBO which box do you use for IPTV MAG 250 or AVOV?
If you are living in a detached house and have a clear line of sight to the CN tower, you can install a rooftop antenna and get about 7-8 channel free of cost, that too in HD. For Hindi, go for IPTV. A substantial savings.
If buying an Android box, avoid Android 4.4 versions. Next release of Kodi will run only on Android 5 or higher. Cheaper boxes are using 1GB RAM and older chipset.
Fire Stick will probably not ship to Canada, so I think you should double check. The above link is for Amazon.com and not Amazon.ca.
