Hi... I am a PR holder, living continuously in Canada since September 2, 2013. By the time my PR is expired I am short of 32 days to the required 730 days. Some time in September 2015 I applied renewal through XXXXX, but they bungled my application, they didn't enclose two photos required. Instead enclosed one photo and mailed it to CIC. My turn came in February 2016 and CIC rejected my application as incomplete! immediately I enclosed two fresh photographs and mailed it, by return mail. I was waiting ever since! I learned that my application was sent to second review! what is second review? How long will it take to make decision on it? where do they send for second review?

Please through some light on this issue, if any one has gone through this process! Thanks.

It will be about three years soon. That is the time you have spent here in Canada. Your PR will be on its way. You are INSIDE Canada and you have very little to fear. BUT they can still ask you for all of the lost time, if they so wish. But they normally don't.

As soon as the PR card arrives, you should get ready to apply for you CANADIAN Citizenship. So do the paper work as soon as you see this response back to you. Get on top of all of these things and complete all of the work needed. All of this is information for you, only if you want your Canadian Citizenship. Your lost time will enter when you prepare your Citizenship application.

I am a PR holder living in Canada, holding Indian citizenship as per my Indian passport don't have First & Last name just given name mention as Asim Syed. Actually, It supposed to be First name: Asim and Last name: Syed;

Based on it on my PR has only given name i,e Asim Syed and all remaining Canadian documents such as (driving license, health card, SIN etc) mention only given name (no where first & last name);

I need to correct and change all the documents to be appear as First & Last name; Kindly advise the procedure and approach from where to start?

PR renewal and travel issues

Hello need some urgent information. My wife came to Canada on February 23, 2015 and is employed since. We have to travel to India for a family event but her PR has expired (it was valid from 22 June 2011 until 21 August 2016). She cannot apply for a renewed PR because she has not completed 732 days stay. Some people suggested that she can get a single entry PR travel document. However it seems that this can be applied only when she is outside Canada and also there is no time frame by which this will be received. Can anyone advise if this TRAVEL DOCUMENT can be applied within Canada before she leaves so that we are not worried about a delay in receiving it when we return in 2 weeks and not jeopardize her job. All suggestions/Advice welcome.
