Dear Friends,

We had to face a very strange incident where both the drives (RAID) on the server failed at the same time. It took little longer than I thought for the hosting company to restore the drives. They wanted to save the time required for me to re-image the server, and so we took a longer path.

Finally, we are able to restore it back! The file restore process is still going on and you may see issues with the site. Please report it here or send me an email using contactus form.

Black FRIDAY will be here and soon upon us. We see SANTA and his troupe there just as they remove all of the Halloween costumes off the shelf. Here in the USA we see the Thick Stack of flyers and the early line up even before the clock chimes the midnight. So, did not miss the Canadian Desi during the week end. But come Monday morning when I started with my first cup of Java and started to look for CD, I knew some thing was not right.

OH BOY, I feel calm and collected and of course O.K. now. Welcome back CANADIAN DESI and to all of the people who not only look forward to it, but also contribute here with their timely replies to the posters. This will be a sigh of relief.

Glad to have it up before Thanksgiving break starts.... Now I can continue my shopping search. Looking for a laptop for around US$700.

Welcome back. I don't see any of the icons on the left (smiles etc ).

You should have an accompanying facebook page that you can update should this happen again ... so users will know what is up. Just a thought.

Also the icons should be back now. The upload was still going on. I made sure to have the site functional while continuing uploading secondary things like those icons.
