I am looking to divorce my spouse who is in India, while I am here with my child in Canada. How long will the proceedings take?

It is difficult to provide with EXACT dates and time taken for questions such as what you are asking us, with these one liners, when we do not know the complete details of the happenings.

Sorry to see all of this happening overnight and you left here with the child to take care of. The next step is to find a way to reconcile and you both should sit down face to face together with some one you both agree to sit down and settle your differences amicably with and see if you BOTH can come to an agreement.

At that time you both can decide if there are any irreconcilable differences there between the two of you and then take the next step. (If it calls for) If at this juncture you both decide to get back together, then the process stops there.
