Nothing for me or you to wish. It is continuing for the last few centuries. The truth will prevail. Remember what happened to Galileo when he confronted the religion with his scientific facts? Ultimately the truth prevailed. Do you still believe that Sun revolves around the Earth?
Education and scientific discoveries are the additives to this phenomenon. The fanatic component of religion makes it aggressive, expanding, intolerant and less adaptable. Here adaptability is the key for survival and you know what happened to dinosaurs. The less adaptable and rigid religions may give impression that they are more stable but they will collapse within themselves. Education and knowledge will cause self-contradiction in them. These religions were started with best of the knowledge available at that time. A lots of water has flown under the bridge till now. So the adaptable religions will try to sail with the wind and will survive longer.
Do a little experiment. Talk about it with your elder and younger generation and see the difference.

Why so many disscussion about religion ?
The main topic was and is : Muslim prayer issue reaches boiling point at Peel board meeting
As Canada should be bow down for Sharia Law ?
why don’t Christian and Jewish and Hindu students get special prayer accommodation?
I strongly condemn the decision - now actually i hat liberal party. i wont be voting for them.
This is a big mistake. We should deep religion out of schools. All religions and that includes Islam. No special privileges for any group.This encroachment must stop before its too late.

There could be 2 reason for your response. First could be the hijacking of thread and I agree to you. I should have started a new thread on Religion. The second reason could be that I hurt your thought process. I believe a logic based though process should be open to discussions. The forum category is ‘Charcha’ so I put down whatever I think of religion in abstract form.
Anyway, we are getting less postings nowadays so let’s put down something to discuss.

Why not? When the whole discussion has gradually relegated to the borderline hatred, then I don't think we should shy away discussing the root cause of this whole madness that's crippling the world today, and which is called as 'Organized Religion'.

While I agree with most of it. I feel there is still lot of place for spirituality, not necessarily to religion.No matter what there always will be some yearning within one's inner self which needs to be answered.However these things starts later in life. When young, it matters what you were taught, how you were taught, and what kind of environment one grows up with. Today most of the religion does not have a tight bond what Islam has and its possible that something like ISIS might emerge from the shadow and bulldoz everything in its way including science and technology and take you back to 6 A.D.
There needs to be an awareness with the majority of people atleast to say NO to all type of extremism (Hindu, Christian, Muslm, and so on). Countries should have a common law inspired by all religions and then have one law for all its citizens.
There is lot of loneliness in this world and religion gives comfort in times of need. If you take that away from humans there is nothing to comfort them.Like everything we need
religion but with moderation .

My Concern still remain same and no one is discussing it.. Lets have separate discussion on religion but this topic is particular to Friday Prayer and i need our desi fellows to reply with thier honest opion.
