I dont pray but i will support your or anyone else's right to pray. If someone wants to pray to a dogs dick so be it , i wont sit in judgement.

Religion is a purely personal thing and we should not sit in judgement.

As long as the practice is within the laws of the land i dont see any issue with it.

Absolutely and since it is personal , it should be kept personal and not brought into public life.

If the laws are not in keeping with times, they need a review.

Personal ≠ private

While many people on this board accuse Muslims of wanting to change the laws in Canada, look who is talking. This country was found on the principals of religious freedom and tolerance. Since it's founding by the Catholics and protestants and many other religions that came after religious freedom has served this country well and is not about to change any time soon. No but no thanks, not in Canada try China.

Is it just me or anyone else here thinks that this guy is losing his balance? He writes some incoherent random stuff. For example look at the underlined text in his comment above. What is he saying? Verbal diarrhoea! Does he even read what he posts?

You dont have to open your mouth just because you dont like what you hear. Take your time, form a good argument before you post.

Now even National Council of Canadian Muslims recognizes Peel board for human rights about prayer issues in the school.

The National Council of Canadian Muslims recognized the Peel District School Board as well as education director Tony Pontes and communications director Brian Woodland for standing up for human rights. Trustee Robert Crocker attended the recent event where the awards were presented.

We live in a Democratic Nation. There are a lot of rules and regulations that a Government makes and a few are not so pleasant ones. But we do comply with them as the penalties in opposing are economically ruining to those who oppose them.

No smoking in Public Places.
NO disposal of debris or garbage in Public Places
No urinating in Public Places etc., etc.,

All of these are all the requirements and they do provide proper locations or zones for its disposal or use to those who want to follow them.

If the people who got elected by the Voting Process when they stand for such a post do a few of their discretionary affairs to please a group, when the numbers who oppose these mounts to more than that can vote them back in, THEY LOOSE.

So, in a war we might lose a battle but the ultimate win is what it is that we should aim for. So, for the time being BITE THE BULLET. They do provide us with another opportunity and at that time get a CANDIDATE of our own into that location when such an opportunity presents and find our own victory at that time. So, take it lying low and prepare for that event and also find a suitable knowledgeable candidate for the post RIGHT NOW.

All we have to do is say that a CAFETERIA is not a suitable location for prayers or any such events that they want to thrust them into. What happens if there are other groups who want to enter at the same time with bells and whistles and herald their own GOD and make it into a GONG Show. They will certainly will have a clash.

More over Wash rooms are for washing, Class rooms are for Study, Play rooms are for games etc., and Library is a silent location and no one can EAT nor DRINK. If so, how come Cafeteria is getting used for a prayer hall.! Something is not right. So, it is for the students to protest about it as it is happening there right under their own nose. It is for the student body to bring it to their attention and rectify the same. These are called Democratic Process. They can OBJECT to it if they themselves want to do it. Parents can also play a role.

WE DON`T WANT RELIGION INTRODUCED INTO THE SCHOOLS. It might get abused by a few. MAJORITY RULES. (In this country) Minority loses.

Mississauga has large Muslim population and unless a politician is toeing to demands of the Muslim population, he/she can't be elected.
Whatever may be the law or appropriate or fair does not matter. Bonnie Crombie has no option but to allow prayers in the schools if she ever wants to get reelected. (and by all accounts she desperately wants to get reelected and cling to power). Period.

All this "Charcha" is meaningless.

very well analysis......Bonnie Crombie wants to come in power for next term. so she can go with any level to re-elect as a Mississauga Mayor.
