Forgot to mention: Don't live anywhere near Gottingen Street ----rest you are good to live anywhere that you can afford. Most Indians live near Scotia Square apartments---- 2 reasons for that----Indian food in food court and NTT data IT company and walking distance everywhere in downtown.

99% of the families live as a single family unit. Can`t speak for the other 1%.

Rooming houses are mostly bachelors, with a few fruits thrown in, So, watch out.

From 1st of May to end of August, you can find accommodation in the University Dorms also. If you like that environment. Not a soul to talk to on many a days, except on the week ends. You might also run into your country man or one from the same community also. You will do better after you find a JOB and then look for a single BR apartment in a complex. Get you own set of wheels and Entertainment system with Android box etc., and then..Get set in your own routines after that. That will be an enviable living.

General check is to verify all of the papers, documents, qualifications, POF., Your IELTS scores and your ability to converse and express very clearly with proper answers at the interview. You BOTH are supposed to take all of the ORIGINALS for all of the required documents. They do not need your Originals only copies. So, please carry a spare set of all of them for submission, if asked. (Please do not mix them) You have all the points you need for your entry. You just go in there and meet with them and get your PP's stamped and collect your COPR papers for each one of you. Say thank you and leave.

It will be also proper to carry all of the originals for any Immunity and vaccination certificates etc., Totally it can easily run into an hour for both of you.

Most of the security checks are conducted by external intelligence sources. I have no clue as to who they are.

There is a very BIG population of well respected Muslims there in Halifax. You will fit into the community well and they will welcome you and accommodate you well. You don't have no fear about it.

Thanks once again FH for your awesome feedback . Basically I want to know 2 things

1- I have submitted my spouse education documents but I am not claiming any points from my spouse education or Ielts documents . My query is will they check that as well or not because I am not claiming any points . And i have to submit those documents or not .

2 - I read in one forum that case officers from Immigration department will visit companies personally and check if candidate has worked or not . I know its odd but dont know how much truth is there behind this verification process .

Kindly response if you could

Thanks once again FH.

What I express here will fall in the right area of the FIELDS that they populate as DATA in the Immigration system filing. In short they get entered into the right drawers. (More on it another day)

So, you have filed all of the required documents for yourself and your spouse. That gets entered properly and if you also file your spouse's IELTS scores, it automatically brings up in their system a notation as to her ability to sustain herself here in Canada in case of eventualities. (Hope none) Since you have obtained entry on your own merits, the additional points that your spouse's strength, has gotten subdued, nevertheless shows up as a PLUs in your application.

All of these do certainly gets noticed in the current day system and will surface at the right time, if needed.

You please submit the copies of all such documents and any IDs and References to IELTS exam scores etc., in the form of a proper letter for them to verify. Even though you did not claim, it will certainly help her to establish her skills, if it ever becomes necessary, because a valid link has been provided by you earlier.

A few doctored submissions in prior years got verified in a manner that you are telling us here. Some such posts did not exist with them and those applications got thrown out. I am not in a position to corroborate them as no one filed a legal case to appeal such a decision. Nothing got published, hence died its natural death. (Just rumours)

Your application has been verified and must have been found good. So, you just carry on smartly and act natural at the time of your interview. Your spouse should have no problems to encounter. Try and keep your conversations in English as much as possible.

Hope this helps.

FH.
