Pros and Cons of bringing our cars
I like your one-liner - Pros and Cons of bringing our cars
A bit of additinal details would assist other CD's to respond to you in a sensible manner, as opposed to replies like:
Sure, Go for it OR Are you nuts...
1. Do you already own the vehicle, or are you planning on buying a new or used one
2. If a new vehicle, how do you plan on bringing it across the border, i.e. drive it (which means you MAY have to pay taxes in the US and get a temporary plate) or get it delivered in Canada
3. Do you live close to the border or relatively close i.e. Vancouver or Toronto
4. How many cars are you planning, since you say - our cars, or was it just a typo
Let's leave it at that. Feel free to provide any additional details

We own 2 cars here on the US east coast.
its not a short drive across the border, but a journey that is doable.
Spouse may need to drive across the border for work at times- do we need to change the plates.
"Do you already own the vehicle, or are you planning on buying a new or used one" - does it make sense to buy anew vehicle here now, we are moving closer to june/july and bring it over then- is it a sound financial move that may save us a few grand
Now that's something ....
Since you already own the vehicle, you'd first have to check the if your vehicle is admissible into Canada. Here's the link to do that - https://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/motorvehiclesafety/safevehicles-importation-usa-vafus-menu-475.htm
Next you'll need to know the process of importing. Trust me it's not complicated. I'm saying this with experience. I bought a new van, and it got delivered right to my doorstep in Toronto. Here's the link which explains the process - http://www.riv.ca/
If your vehicle is not equipped with DRL (Daytime Running Lights) you'd have to get it done prior to registering the vehicle in Canada. I suggest you get it done while in the US. Toyota charged me $250 3 years ago, and all they had to do is just short it so it can never be turned off. The vehicle was equipped with DRL but it could be turned off.
Hope that help's, and good luck with your import and moving.
