Thanks for your suggestions and advice.

Checked that the lawn is not very big.

Brought this electric corded yesterday for $95-$10(1st online purchase) from Lowes.

Sun Joe 11-Amp 14-in Electric De-Thatcher with Collection Bag (AJ800e)

https://www.lowes.ca/lawn-mowers/sun-joe-11-amp-14-in-electric-de-thatcher-with-collection-bag-aj800e_g2560027.html

This is currently on sale @ Home Depot for $150/-

Should suffice for now ..Thanks.

As you already bought electric lawn mower, it ll make more sense to buy an electric snow thrower.

It's not as powerful as Gas one.. but it pretty much does the job..

This winter I bought a snow joe snow thrower for 150$ + 50$ wire..(I expect it to last for atleast 2 winter).
For my driveway, without snow thrower it used to take close to 2 hours to clean 20cm of snow.. now it takes 20-25 mins.. + I don't have to scoop, lift and throw..

For Toronto winter I guess electric snow thrower is good enough.. but if you have space, money for gas snow blower, then go for it..

Yes R_C , I am .. the lawn I suppose is 20 ft by 10 ft.

Do you think this would not work? Please share your honest opinion as the item is still not picked up.

Fido, this Sun Joe is a de-thacher and not lawn mower. If you are looking to cut grass, you need lawn mower.

Its a good one. But electric ones usually are not as powerful as gas ones. So it will take you more time to mow the lawn.

Plus the cord keeps coming in between if its corded. Hydro is expensive so you pay more in the the long run

Gas ones 5 bucks of gas is more than enough for the entire season.

But electric ones are quieter ( not much noise ) and no pollution and environment friendly.

Fido you may want to look at this option if you are not keen to invest on gas models

Folks,

Though I had brought the other one a couple of months back , but would be opening it this weekend.

https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.mow-joe-14-inch-electric-lawn-mower-with-3-height-adjustments.1000777186.html

Incidentally, the following one is currently on sale as well... Please advise if the following is better than the previous one, in which case I can return the previous one and buy the new one.

https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.21-inch-140cc-side-discharge-lawn-mower.1000728544.html

My yard size is very medium 20 ft by 15 ft or so. Thanks.

I also notice per SS that city of Toronto doesn't pick up grass - in which case the latter one appears to be an obvious choice as I think it mulches. But there s no bagger attachment for this one which is there on the former one.

Please advise folks - I need to mow my front this weekend.

Added one more upon researching ... this one has bagging and mulching capability ...
