Hi There,
Sponsoring first time for someone to Canada need some assistance on the process and
also some good immigration Consultant.
I got divorced in 2015 August , remarried in 2017 Feb.
Currently in USA on work visa, My wife is also in states.
I am Canadian Citizen and I did not sponsored my first wife(she was Canadian PR).
Thanks,
Your Previous wife was a Canadian PR.
Your Current spouse is of a different Nationality and you want to sponsor her into Canada. (Not a Canadian)
First of all you need to show that you have divorced your first wife. The papers should show a clear severance from her.
You certainly can marry a second time. It will take time to establish that this current marriage is genuine one and the relationship is strong and the bond is good and stable. Only time will tell. But you will have to demonstrate the same with joint Bank Accounts, wanting to have a family between the two of you and an album of pictures and a Video of the wedding with all of the concerned families in it, indicating their approvals there in, are just for the starters. You can also show and document with the current Driver's licence and the address there in the USA and other documents that are addressed to the current address for the both of you there. This will show her current married name in it, which will be yours.
You will have to prepare for all of this prior to approaching any lawyer here in Canada who can step in and assist you both. But do start all of this soon and don't get left out. At the same time issue to her a letter of invitation to visit you here in Canada, if you have an address to show and then obtain a Multiple entry Visitor's Visa for her. That is for starters. She can easily get that, because she is currently a resident there. That is a good sign and an Omen to work with and take it from there.
If all of the required paper work is in order and there are NO glitches, then, the entry process will be smooth and speedy. You surely can avail the services of a good Lawyer who will do the same for you at a nominal cost. More about it if you wish to PM me here.
FH.
Depending upon the duration and the length of your previous marriage, your ex-spouse can surely take action to obtain financial support any time here in Canada. Please be informed about it.
