|Hope this explains what the stamping means.
I will provide you with a link that explains as to what their stamping and the last date it is valid upto means. Since you are already here in Canada and can renew your stay here, they expect you to make a second request, either it be as an EXYENSION of the current status or a CHANGE OF CONDITION, if that is what you will be looking to obtain after the completion of your course and obtaining the results.
They normally are in the know how as to the time taken by the institutions to provide you with a completion note and your further entitlements too, and if it cramps your status or does not provide you with enough time for renewal, you must make a request to the institution where you are studying to speed things up so that you can streamline your stay with in Canada or plan to do other things.
Once you RE-APPLY for the next status, it is the INTENT to stay and renewal of the same, is all that is needed from YOU. If there are any delays not of your own making, then, you are in the clear. All you do is wait for your approval.
Please read the explanation provided by the CIC People under this.
"For example, if the officer specified a date as shown in the above illustration, your temporary resident status would expire on June 30th, 1993. (From the example)
If there is no stamp, a handwritten date or document in your passport, your temporary resident status will expire six months from the day you arrived in Canada." OR WHEN EVER.
Hope this helps.

I was expected to complete my last program in August 2017. I applied for study permit extension before 23 days to its expiry date. CIC approved my application but extended till 15 Sept 2017 only. Does it okey as I may or may not receive program completion letter from college till that date. should they gave me till November or October atleast 90 days asfter my program completes. ???
