Hi CD folks,
We will be in GTA in the next couple of weeks for a sightseeing. My parents cant walk for a long distance. Max of abot 1.5 km. So I want to reduce their walking while on sightseeing in GTA. We may spend 2 days there. Want to show them the tower. Any other interesting spots for the old timers?
you might like to go with toronto city pass...if it works for you
TTC - Local Transit service is very good. For seeing CN Tower from UNION station there is direct way going to CN Tower. You don't need to come to streets for that one.
If you are planning to take them on TOP of CN Tower, please make sure that there is no long line (Which usually is). You have to choose ODD time and day for that one.
Near CN Tower there is SKY Dome.
According to me CN Tower is the only in the must see list, other places are not so important.
You can get rest of the information from CAA.
Thanks

Thx. hammer and Garvo.
Found out that my dad cant walk even for half km. Gets tired soon. Cant use number of steps. Hopefully CN tower does not have steps to climb (I haven't seen myself).
(may be I will stop by at the picnic since we are planing to visit GTA during that weekend)
I hope youu dont get offended with my suggestion but what about renting a wheelchair?? I had to do that for my mother. Made things alot easier as she couldnt walk 1km. If your mom needs a rest she could sit in the chair for .5km. Please do not be offended I mean nothing wrong by it. It took alot of arguing with my mom for her to use one, she said she wasnt old enough to use one. Good Luck
THx.
My dad wont sit in it. Even in the airport while arriving he got up when he saw me. Wouldn't sit again. Refuses even to hold a walking stick. You got the idea.
